Program Schedule:
- Arrival Day, Sunday: Volunteers should arrive at either Jamnagar or Bhavnagar Airport by Sunday. Upon arrival, volunteers will be transferred to their accommodation in Dwarka. In the evening, a brief orientation session will take place, where volunteers will be introduced to the city’s cultural and spiritual context.
- Day 1, Monday: After breakfast, volunteers will begin their work in the Dwarkadhish Temple, assisting with temple upkeep, cleaning, and preparation of offerings. They will also have the opportunity to participate in the morning Aarti (ritual prayer) at the temple. The evening will include group prayers or meditation.
- Days 2-3, Tuesday & Wednesday: Volunteers will continue their temple preservation work, including supporting efforts to preserve ancient artifacts and maintaining the temple’s heritage site. In the afternoons, volunteers can engage in environmental work, such as cleaning Dwarka’s beaches or assisting with marine life conservation projects. Cultural workshops, such as learning Garba dance (traditional Gujarati dance) or exploring local art forms like Warli painting, will be arranged in the evenings.
- Day 4, Thursday: On this day, volunteers will visit nearby villages to support community development efforts. This may include teaching children, assisting in healthcare camps, or helping in local sanitation initiatives. Volunteers will also help organize local cultural events or fairs to promote Dwarka’s traditions.
- Day 5, Friday: The focus will be on working with local artisans, learning about the traditional crafts of Gujarat, such as Patola weaving and Bandhani tie-dye. Volunteers can participate in hands-on sessions with these artisans. In the afternoon, environmental activities will continue with a focus on water conservation or promoting eco-tourism in the region. In the evening, there will be an opportunity for spiritual activities, such as participating in the evening Aarti at the Dwarkadhish Temple.
- Days 6-7, Saturday & Sunday: Weekends are free for volunteers to explore Dwarka and its surrounding areas:
- Dwarka Beach: Relax on the shores of Dwarka Beach, take part in water activities, or visit the nearby Lighthouse.
- Bet Dwarka: Take a day trip to Bet Dwarka, an island off the coast, famous for its temples and historical significance as a part of Lord Krishna’s journey.
- Rukmini Devi Temple: Visit the Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s consort, which is an architectural marvel and a significant pilgrimage site.
Program Accomplishments:
- Volunteers will contribute to preserving the Dwarkadhish Temple, an important pilgrimage site for Hindus, and the surrounding cultural heritage of Dwarka.
- Environmental initiatives, such as beach cleanups and marine life conservation, will help maintain Dwarka’s ecological balance.
- Volunteers will directly support local communities by teaching, organizing health camps, and participating in educational programs.

Volunteer Age Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18. Volunteers aged 16-17 may apply with parental consent.
- Families with children over 12 years old are welcome to join the program.
